Privacy
The bar at the bottom is a notice. Closing it does not turn the logging off.
What we store
- Calculator inputs. Tooth count, module, pressure angle, pitch diameter, and the other short fields the page sends. Each field is cut at 64 characters.
- Your IP address.
- The X-Forwarded-For header, when one comes in with the request. We keep the first 100 characters.
- The site the calculator was on. oilviscositychart.com, or evolventdesign.com when the tool is in a frame. We keep it only if it looks like a hostname.
- Change-gear searches. Tooth count, machine constant, the gear list, and the same two IP fields.
Cookies that are not ours
- Google Analytics 4 (G-GME7K0QWL0).
- Google AdSense (ca-pub-8082154142606419).
- Meta pixel (1657202435376641). It records a page view.
- Amazon Associates. Shop links use the tag evolvent01-20. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases.
Google Ads remarketing is off.
The OK button
OK sets a first-party cookie named ovc_notice for one year, and the same flag in this browser. It only remembers that you closed the bar.
Questions go to contact@evolventdesign.com.
We log calculator inputs and your IP to see what gets used. We also use Google and Meta cookies. Details
